Weeping Rock

Meandering along the nature path, this trail introduces you to the plants within Zion National Park. After walking an easy paved road (with a few stairs) through the valley floor, you will end at the Weeping Rock.

Easy
10-20 minutes
Perfect for families with young children

As the name implies, the rock will slowly be crying drops of water.  The water droplets are an example of how the seasons and rain continuously effect the changing landscape of Zion National Park. From Weeping Rock, you have beautiful views across a section of the valley.

The hike offers lush forest scenery. Even the cliff above the upper section of the rock is covered in vines and plant life. Be sure to read the signs along the Nature Path to learn about the local flora and fauna.
